YOU ALREADY KNOW (YAK)
The played unbelievable offense. Everyone was playing unselfishly, making the extra pass and taking high percentage shots, and then everyone was hitting those shots. Watson started on freakin fire from 3pt land, while Pope and McDaniels were too much to handle inside the arc.
This play was absolutely bananas and isn't getting the reaction it deserves:
Finals Preview: Aztecs vs New Mexico 3pm on CBS
SDSU (21-10) plays New Mexico (19-14) for the MWC Final and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. ESPN currently has the Aztecs as a 70% favorite to win the game. New Mexico (3 seed MWC) is also riding a win streak, winning the last seven times out on the court. However, none of those wins include victories over Nevada, Boise, or SDSU. In the MWC tourney they have beaten Wyoming (6 seed) and Utah State (7 seed). Neither of those teams are particularly on the Aztecs level, but they get a chance to play anyways.
An old Rivalry gets reignited for the final game of the tournament. Both teams have won the tournament 4 times, while the Aztecs have made 9 appearances to the Lobos 5. New Mexico has beaten SDSU twice in the championship game (2012 and 2014), and the Aztecs haven't won the game since 2011.
This season New Mexico won at home 79-75 vs the Aztecs in their only meeting of the season back on January 20th. The Lobos finished that game on a 13-2 run while the Aztecs choked away another game. But that was a different Aztec team than the one that will take the court today.

Recap: What a fantastic game to watch last night. The Aztecs absolutely crushed Nevada last night, with the final score not really showing a true reflection of the massacre. The Tekkies were up 30 at half time, after probably the best half of Aztecs basketball I have ever seen.

Defensively, they looked like the Aztec teams were grew accustomed to: aggressive, hands up in the passing lanes, moving faster than the opponents offense. It was the best overall team performance in a long time if not in history. Even though they just beat Nevada at home on senior night, they get another win against a top 25 opponent for their 8th win in a row. One win away from being a scary team in the big dance. That's good body control. pic.twitter.com/UYsWIy7e86— Aztec M. Basketball (@Aztec_MBB) March 10, 2018
Aztecs looking freaking SCARY right now; bubble teams are rooting tough for a loss by them in the next two days. Would be a dangerous 11/12/13 seed next week #MarchMadness— Luke (@Lukelley) March 10, 2018
